Park Run's ?

Been here 15 years.

Almost everywhere I've worked, BP refinery, Boggabri Mine, Port of Brisbane etc etc have been "Long Pants, long sleeves, broad hat" sites, or I'm in the shed, or on my bike in full gear.   

Working outdoors for 15 years here, being out in the sun doesn't really appeal to me that much.

Just ran a 30:27.

I think that's my fastest run in the last 12 months.

Wife ran at the same meet but ran slower than normal. Was too warm to be enjoyable for her. My last 1k was faster than the first 4, I tried to pace myself to run low 30's but went a bit too hard when I knew I was near the end. Wasn't great when I finished and struggled for a minute or two to recover.

Still way off my 27:17 personal best but I'm determined to be under 30:00 soon.

First run after several months of ill health.
Only did 3K's and took it pretty slow, 23 minutes 21 seconds.
Struggled a bit but I've done a treadmill run with a heart monitor
and a cycle stress test for my lungs so I recon I'm good to go.

The run was pretty crap but being out there again was a mental boost.
