Don't think standard levers have slowed Snapey and myself down, I blame it on old age  :stir:

I think carrying a spare set under the seat is a good idea, cheap insurance you hope you never need. So, I just ordered a set of Chinese ones to do just that. Got the long version in black, think about NZD$30.00
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

1250 Bandit levers fit the 14 as I discovered after being knocked off last month - I carry spare sets too  :onya:

Never had stock GSX1400 levers, or I would possibly have left them alone.

Had tasteless pikey gold Pazzo's with damage,
then Busa levers that went back onto a Busa.
If stock levers were $20 delivered to my door I'd be tempted.

My ex-Mrs dropped her SV a couple of times.
I saved the best two levers that only had the ends snapped off and put them under her seat.

I remember back in the day we used to carry or fitted a spare clutch cable particularily on a tour like Europe.
Anyone got a spare hydraulic kit under the seat.

Back in the day i worked as mechanic for driving school. They were forever falling off my bikes, had a fleet of 12. Clutch/ brake lever fix, i drilled holes in broken bits, put brass welding rods in. Used car bog to join. Filed them down, re painted. Perfect job. Did lots of them.

My KDX250 was an ex-enduro competition bike, with a nut job ex-owner.

It came with a spare cable taped onto the original with the ends ready to be swapped over, I thought that was a bit OTT. It also had tubes that were like long sausages and had ends to them, the tubes could be changed with the wheels in place.

Mousses like my XR has.

Mine had ends like this. Change the tube without removing the wheel.
