Well compared to the completely shot OEM (84k kms) they are great.
However to be honest I was expecting a bit more.
BUT having said that, the suspension was provided by Wilbers on the basis that I advised that I did carry a pillion at times. And it was really good with the Mrs on the back.
I was after a really ultra smooth ride and while that is not presently as good as I would have liked, the bike is very stable when cornering.
As well, I have adjusted it way off the suggested middle settings (in trying to set it for solo) and haven't really tinkered with it for ages. When I was tinkering you could definitely feel the differences from the adjustments.
It's something I'll have to get back to.
Basically it's pretty good at the moment that I haven't felt the urge to adjust it any further.
If you only have a pillion on your bike a few times a year then when ordering from Wilbers I would advise that always ride solo.

I saw a display yesterday at Laverda show for a guy called GAZI shocks. Has anyone used them ?

One particular set looks like a perfect fit for a 1400  :boogie: :boogie:

Not used them myself but they sure do look the business and seem well specced for the price.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

My rh shock started leaking last week, on Ebay were a couple of spacers that do away with the adjusting mechanism, I bought them for £10 the pair, I needed the bike on Saturday so stuck a left hand shock on to get me by, it works fine just the knob is at tyre side

grog

Bob, a link to those adjusters please. Would like a look. Thanks Mate.

@Bob

I have Hagon Nitros on mine and they're sound. Mrs N and I have just done a two week/2500 mile trip through France and Germany with full luggage/top box and tank bag with no concerns or "moments" re handling etc

You've got a lot of gear on her, just shows what's possible.

@Bob an easy way to add a link to a post here, if you want to:

1) have this site open (where you want to insert the link) and the site you want to post a link to, in another tab.

2) right click on the address bar at the top of the page where it says 'http/www/jimmysbigbackyard' etc  It will turn blue & give you an options list, one of those is 'Copy'  select that.

3) go back to the GSX1400 tab & it'll open where you where before, get the cursor where you want to add the link & right click, options appear, select 'Paste' & bang, it's done.

Long winded writing it all out, but it's only a matter of a few clicks & it's done.  Hope it's of some assistance to ya mate.
