The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Tony Nitrous

No much, but I may be soon.

SX came with standard black luggage but there are colour coded green lids and side strips to match the bike. Not cheap but what the hell....

Mine...

.... and the option...

Also had a chat about derestricting it.
I don't really want an annoying illegal system.
Currently looking at just an air filter, a replacements de-cat section, a remote harness so any future mods are easy to remap for (ECU is a shit to get too) and an ECU derestrict and remap. Keep the front pipes and legal can. The guys have done a few and say 220hp wouldn't be an issue.

Brought a new Gel battery for the black. I tried all over & just can't get the same one Grog has, appears it's an Aussie built one & they don't ship to the neighbouring islands.  No matter, the one I got is Nano Gel YG14-BS, 270cca, so definitely a step up on the one it's replacing - which was a Yuasa, but only lasted a couple of years & she'd as dead as a dead thing, just can't supply the required current to start it anymore.

Big Geordi

I purchased a wee Exhaust

Well done Geordi, looks nice.  Col, sure your battery will be good. The one in mine is still good but cca gone down a bit, 270 last week. Still way more than others ive had.

A pair of Bull-It Tactical Bike Jeans - Never tried these before but they seem well made and come AA rated protection & CE level 2 hip & knee armour (hopefully they wont be tested) hopefully will be OK for local summer runs  :onya:

@Tony Nitrous what kind of $$$$'s please ? :whatever:

$250.

There's a slightly smaller one for about $140 that's on "special".

I have a lot of Ryobi tools and I'm quite happy with them.

Wife paid me back straight away....  :onya:

Not my buy but a mates. Was at bike dealer shop last week. 2002 Yamaha XJR1300. 70 th ks. Perfect nick. Spare tank, Yoshi exhaust. They had just traded in and not wanted by them. No rego which cost $500. He rode it both days this weekend, reckons faultless. Cost $2000. Black/yellow, looks good. Bargain i reckon.

Mick_J

I think the XJR is the best looking of all the retro bikes, probably because it is a genuine retro.  :whistling:
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

KiwiCol

Just to clarify, photo posted is stock pic, a brand new not my mates purchase. His looks exact same but 70ks of wear. It is in great condition but. Not sure if Yoshi is Cyclone but looks same as you blokes fit. He said some sort of box fitted, Power commander? Im guessing this would be carby bike, no idea. Would a Power Commander be fitted to carb bike? Im guessing not, maybe some sort of TRE etc. Reckons it rides to redline perfectly. Much easier to ride than his new Thruxton his words. So comfy also mentioned.
