I'm looking for recommendations for fairings/screens that are effective but don't compromise the naked look. I've been looking at this one https://japan.webike.net/products/1542149.html at Webike. I know many members also use fly screen type fairings. Your feedback would be appreciated. A search did not turn up any info.

As much as I do like the "look" of the "Bikini Fairing", I prefer to use a fly screen and keep the single headlight look and still essentially a naked bike look.  :onya: :onya:

Have you ideas on what bikini fairing looks the best?
I was out on my bike today and was getting blown off it after the ton

If your ton is 100 MPH then nothing will stop the wind blast  :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir:

I reckon that road comet one looks good, styling wise  :onya:

Screens are a very contentious and annoying thing though.
In my experience, they either
1. Do nothing. or
2. Channel the air somewhere worse (eg directly onto your neck/into your helmet or causing extra head buffeting), or
3. You buy a really big cruiser style screen like I did, for winter.  Get super annoyed by the time it takes to fit and remove, and how naff it looks....

The worst part is you only really find out the vices of a screen after you've laid out the money to buy it. And they are not cheap by any means, especially if you have to add custom painting.

Personally, I gave up.

I'll be keen to follow this thread and see how you go.

Good luck.

I've got this one sitting in the cave if anyone wants it. It's not in the best condition but someone might be able to make use of it?

Also got a Puig screen that I bought from Seth and decided I didn't like the look of it on the bike..Couple of scratches that could be polished out.

Drop me a PM if interested :onya:

I have F1 brand from USA sitting in shed. Its also free for anyone that wants it. Was way over $100 and scratched top of speedo, only thing it did.

VladTepes

The screen scratched your speedo? WTF?
I was gonna say I'd give it a try just to see what its like, but maybe not...

I'll agree to that. Unless you've got a full on barn door like I used to have on a Pan then screens are awful things.

To cure* the wind blast just ride a lot more often & you'll grow neck muscles so it's comfy.

Yes Hooli, best way to overcome wind blast, is to "Toughen the Hell up"  :whistling:  and keep the bike naked.
Bit easier to do over here though  ;) :cheesy:

Please Sir,

Mines naked...
I dont even like a RAM mount for a SatNav unless I am actually going somewhere I dont know...
However I do confess to fitting the hand guards (off a Suzuki adventure type bike...Cant remember the model) in winter time.. Really does help..
But perversely I ride with Summer gloves in winter.. I dont like the bulky feel of winter gloves.. Its like riding with Boxing gloves on !!
