Taniwha

I had a bit of a splurge last week.
An 85 GPZ 550 on monday and an 08 Ninja 250 on wednesday.
The GPZ was a freebie, As long as I get it on a track inside 12 months. Needs plugs, leads, and Carb rebuild.
The Ninjette runs and needs, Brakes rebuilt, sprokets and chain. Cost me $150.
Should be a fun winter project.

Nice pick ups Taniwha. What a bargain  :onya:

Cheers Sweaty.
The Ninja had sat outside Carriageworks in Newtown for four years. I left a note on it about six months ago, then last week I got a text. Checked the bike out, offered $150. Took it home, pulled the fairings off, pulled the tank off, hooked it up to a new battery and it cranks beautifully and free. Cleaned the tank out, was mostly petrol with a little water, two litres of fresh gas, reconnect the tank and she fired right up. Unsteady idle, but thats to be expected.
Oil change, engine flush and she'll be a happy little scoot.

Hooli

I bought a pot of dubbin from the local horsey shop, it's still the best thing I've found for treating leathers & making them last.

ARH

Dubbin!  That's a blast from the past!  Last time I saw Dubbin I was using it on my rugby boots at the ripe age of 12..... and that's not in the recent past I can tell you  :rofl2:

Hooli

It's worked, my leathers were dry, crispy & brown in places. They are all a nice waxy black again now.

Great buy Tony. Mine is sim, like to see charge rate, always flicks 13.7/13.8.

I know the 14's battery is on the way out, so I wasn't surprised to see it showing 11 volts when I turned the ignition on, surprisingly, although it struggled, it still started!

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Snapey

I bought a front Angel GT to replace the Angel ST that had done just under 11.000kms. While that was being fitted I went to Hare & Forbes & bought a decent dust extractor for the sand blaster.

So now I'll be able to see what I'm blasting.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

T 24

I bought an electric 5.5 ton offroad winch to help my old 1.8 ton Volvo T 24 tractor in bad places.

Another 10mm ratchet spanner.
I think that's the 4th one this week.
