Not today, but Sunday...

Can't say I really need it, but it was good price, in the shop and the last one...
few times, I need to get bike on a truck or in to the van, I had issues of doing it. Not anymore :)

Im a bit of a hoarder / collector of tools. I have quite a LOT!
Wife doesn't understand but let's me get on with it.
I at least buy something small every week, not always stuff I need right now
or sometimes just a spare or extra of something I have as I keep them in a few places. I will start and add them in this thread, large and small.

Today.

Similar to here then, I paid £120 about three years ago.

How many miles do you normally get @Hooli from a chain and sprocket set ?
That's around the price I paid for my last set .

30-35k I'd say. The original set died at about 17k & I've fitted four since then as far as I can recall.

I get around 15-17,000 miles from a chain and sprocket kit riding all year round.

Hunters Motorcycles on Ebay does DID X-Ring chain and JT sprockets kits for the GSX1400 for £87.49 delivered :onya:

seth

I'm much the same as you @froudy
We get around 18000 miles per set .
I tend to change the chain and sprocket once they need to be adjusted and though they would last longer I change them along with the sprocket carrier bearing at the same time .

Like you said @seth ...Once I have to adjust the chain tension once a week or more it gets changed.
I don't do the sprocket bearing every time, but it makes sense to as it takes a lot of punishment. I use the 2RS type bearings with both sides rubber sealed, so the water doesn't get in and destroy it quite so easily.
