Shamelessly copied from The Bandit Forum...

Just found this site.  More or less applies to all UK registered and taxed, or SORN'ed, bikes and cars.

Who has seen this really cool site before?

I think you can see the decline and death of motorcycles, as they disappear from the "taxed" and "SORN" classes.

The winter SORN is interesting as that is increasing as more people do not use their beautiful Suzuki's (Bandit's or GSX1400) in the winter.  Unless I am missing something here?

I have put in four links.

First the home page, second for the link to all Suzuki cars and bikes (ignore the Suzuki bikes link - not much in there), third for the GSF1200X (1999 model, as I've got one), and fourth for "all" the GSX1400's (it is possible to subdivide to year of bike).

I keep an eye on this site to see how many MZ1000's are being run/not run.

Another cool site if you want to see if any of your old bikes are still running or getting taxed etc is https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

I'm rebuilding a 1978 XS1100. The site reckons there are only 7 from that year and they are all SORN.

Mind you, it lists only the XS1100S option, which wasn't made in 1978. So I think there are some issues with model codes etc.

That site is famously inaccurate.

It s very easy for a model to be registered under several different names or number combo's by a dealer and not then flagged by the computer.

So inaccurate and not much use then...Win some..Lose some :imrgreen:

My B-King is a GSX1300BK.

On our transport system it's registered as a GSXR1300 (same as a Busa)
My mates is registered as a GSX1340.
(Neither of them are correct)

Some of these systems search the model and 6 different shops or salesmen could easily name them differently.

Busa's suffer from this, some list them as 1300's (Gen-1) and 1340's (Gen-2) others list both old and new as being 1300's.
Some list them as GSX1300R (correct) some list them as GSXR1300's.

A model search could easily miss a lot of the bikes.

Some of the Sale sites are the same. Identical bikes listed as different models
