but now I also have got 1402 cc.

In addtion to my XJR (just 1250cc  :imrgreen:), CBF600N and a BMW airhead. All naked  :)

In the past I also drove RD250, 2x RD400, XS850 and a GSX1100G bought new in 1993

The GSX has had only one owner and currently has 20k kms

The bike is currently not yet in acceptable condition but was quite cheap. And I am sure I can wake her up

Result of the first cleaning session:

One rear shock is leaking.

At least it has low mileage and the previous owner had already put brand new tyres, chain and sprockets and the fork has been serviced.

And: I am based in South Western Germany

Cheers

To all things 1402
You have found the right place for help and advice .
Just have a good look around and ask if you get stuck.
Good luck with your bike as at 20kms it's just freeing up nicely.
Pictures of your progress would be good.
Great part of the world your in .
Enjoy

I think of one of the next things to do is to check the sprocket bearing.  :onya:

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Welcome Mate. You sure have some cleaning to do but will come up great. Soak those exhaust bits with toilet cleaner, Harpic might be name. Get inside that collector pipe, i did yrs ago, grind out all sharp edges, let that exhaust flow. Piccys please.

Welcome Erbas, looks like a serious project, what's your timeline for getting it done?

Cheers

She needs paint, which I can not do myself. This includes the  frame. Next challenge can be seen in the middle of the pic

After replacing the exhaust system by original used parts, bring her back on the road. Pass German MOT in July. Then take the decision if to completly strip down. We'll see
The bike how I purchased her.
