just thought i'd put this up here in cases it helps anyone else out. I have had an intermittent starting issue for a couple of years showing an FI code. I changed the ignition switch, cleaned every connector i could find and replaced the fuel pump, all to no avail, then by chance as it decided one day outside homebase to not start and i was in a real rush i good got really f**ked off and literally shock the bike while calling it every name under the sun....then it started! got me thinking, i wonder if..... i removed the tilt sensor, opened the little git up and lo and behold there was a little brass tang that had snapped off and was rattling around inside, shorting it out every now and again. Replaced the sensor and no more issues thus far.

Never heard of another problem like it untill this.

Another thing to check if you can't find a problem .
