The LH grip is coming off my renthal bar. Its sliding around it. Not sure what was used when it was put in place but it's probably melted in the heat... LOL

In any event, what to clean it with and what to use when putting it back on?

The last trick:
Clean the grip and bar with brake cleaner. Brush both parts with heat activated contact glue, like Tetrakem AD 99 E.
Let them dry properly. Push the grip to its place. Heat it up to 80°C or 176°F.
Now you can remove it only by knife in small pieces :cheesy:

As per T24 with brake cleaner, get them clean. No glue for me, more brake cleaner, slip on, let it dry. I fit golf grips this way, never move. As you know Vlad, i dont spend much time at golf.  :rofl2:

All I use is acetone - clean the bar and inside of the grip and put a cloth with acetone onto the bar  then dip whole grip in acetone and then slide the grip on the acetone cures and grips the grip (no pun intended)

Clean the bar and grip properly and just spray some hair spray onto the bar and slide the grip on, job done.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

There must be different types of hair spray because when I tried it, nothing happened at all.

I ended up smearing a bit of Unibond clear glue on it, worked a treat. Looking at the old grip I took off, Suzuki used some sort of glue originally.

You can get glue from Renthal to stuck grips, but it seems to be no different to using something like Evostick (or a similar contact adhesive).

After reading the instructions on the Renthal tube - and this worked fine for me - the key seems to be usung thin smears of glue and then leaving at least 24 hours to cure.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Not having any heat activated contact glue etc to hand I might try the hairpsray. Nothing to lose I guess.
