Hi long time Lurker 1st post, from the research i have done am i correct in assuming that the listed bike 4 pots below are a straight swap with original discs

The following calipers are options (depending on availability, some may be easier to source than others):
-   Suzuki SV1000 03-04/K3-K4 Callipers
-   01-03 Suzuki GSXR600/750  (4-Pot Tokico front brake Callipers)
-   Suzuki SV1000 03-04/K3-K4  4-Pot Tokico front brake Callipers)

Sorry to ask but bought a set of a GSXR 750 ( supposedly right year) and they fouled the discs , have found another set ( SV 1000 /03) and just wanted to confirm before i pull the trigger,

Thanks and Regards,
Horse

Hi Horse.
I have the GSXR600 ones fitted - fit no problem with standard discs (not that those discs are fitted any more!).

:hat:
I plan on living forever - so far, so good!

Horse

ordered a set of 03 SV 1000 calipers hopefully they will bolt right up,

Thanks

Those of you that have gone to 4 pots, do they stop any better? Spoilt lately by monoblock Brembos, they are just amazing, get back on 14 and have to re adjust very quickly, far inferior. Too expensive to fit monos to 14, priced it out at over 2G.

2G?  WOW

if I hadnt' already had a complete B-king front end on my 14... this would be my setup:

80 euro's for a pair of b-king radial calipers,
50 euro's for Brembo Red sintered pads for road use,
120 euro's for caliper adapter bracket to fit on a 14 front end.

And if i was really really posh... I would buy a radial master Brembo RCS-19 at €250.

These are all ebay.. "buy it now" prices.

Pretty sure better deals are to be had after .

i currently have the Brembo red pads, b-king calipers and the RCS-19 .. i cannot fault them.  :onya:

It depends on the caliper you plan on using.

This one is for a 100mm spacing.

They also sell different spacings... Please check what you need. This is just an example of an adapter.

that's what I did on my bike - set of Nissins from the states (a lot cheaper than UK) brackets and best brakes Ive had

Thanks Northern ,
After my first stuff up with what were supposed to be the right units (bolt spacing was right but did not clear the disc ) just wanted confirmation that I could use the OEM discs with the 03 SV 1000 calipers they arrive in a week so will give them some TLC and a recoat and hopefully get a little more feel into the front brakes . Loks like it will be 40 degreesC plus  in the shed next week, great painting weather, thanks for the confirmation.
