I agree! I had several Capris with the both the 3 litre and the 2.8. The 3.0 was punchier and the 2.8 liked to rev a bit harder. A great car in its day and my inspiration to make the leap to American muscle

I only had one of the 3.0 versions but I have to say it was probably my favourite, not as quick as the 2.8i but the noise was much better. We used to go to shows all over the country and American muscle cars blew me away. Could never afford one but the V8 noise can't be beaten   :notworthy:

The 71 Dodge I have now carries the 440ci (7.2)V8 and has twin 600cfm carbs and a 4 speed....it's a lot of fun

That's one of the nicest years for Corvette. I used to have a 67 Camaro with a 327ci and a  4 speed

Milts & Simonic  :onya: love them.
I like any early American muscle car.

VladTepes

@Milts I love the older Corvettes. The 60-760's era esp the Stingrays, probably my favourite, with the late 50s 'Vettes a close second.
A 1963 split-window is a 'grail' car I think.
The post 70's stuff I have found very uninteresting.

@Simonic lovely Dodge !   Nothing quite like a BIG V8 to get the boogie on !
