I was on my standard K2 'abroad' several years ago, and whilst catching up with some other bikes, flat out, I glanced at the speedo, and although a bit blurred, the needle had gone all the way round to the stop.
So no idea how fast it goes flat out.
:lol:

Funny this should come up now, I was on Thunderbolts Way last weekend on an all day ride with a mate. Hit 220kmph with difficulty on a big straight.
Standard bike except air filter and blocked pairs valve.
Got a bit boggy after 180kmph, needed to ease the throttle on more slowly.

What's this about cleaning out the collector box?

@Dan B
What's a kmph ?
I've never heard of a blocked collector box but the single pipe models with yoshi end cans do have a restrictor in the link pipe .

@seth
kmph = km/h = kilometres per hour

I keep hearing on random topics on the forum of people "cleaning out the collectors" and was curious. Thought maybe it had a catalytic converter in there or something?

No cat on a gsx1400 I think the pair's stuff is there to address emissions ECT but it the bikes run smoother with it removed.

That's a kilomile per hour.  :onya: i.e. 1,000mph   i.e. 1600 kph  :whistling:

I'd just never seen kmph used as a measurement of speed only ever seen it as km/h or kph  :frustrated:

km/h or kph

Yes. I see both in use in many countries.

Don't think I've seen kmph before.
To close to mph IMO.

Kmph = just a creative individual abbreviation. Reminds me of one of my early mentors who disliked the use of abbreviations as they can easily lead to confusion. I am sure he would go nuts about social media's usage.

My ride home tonight, just perfect, i had those kmph, mph and kph all working together, was fun. I even passed a police picture van, all those initials were under 100.  :grin:

I prefer to use Sph.

Smiles Per Hour.

All my bikes hit some really high numbers.
