What do you have planned for 2019 ?

Big plan's, holidays, bike mods, moving house or job, cars, bikes, weight, travel, marriage (or divorce!) ?

Anything definite?

Anything your trying for ?

I have given myself a list of to do's". Admittedly far more than I will ever get done but I'm aiming high and anything I do achieve is a win for me in 2019.

Buy a new bike.

Finish renovating my house.

Sell my house.

Visit Cambodia, maybe Siem Reap again.

Visit Thailand, maybe Phuket again.

Run 5K's in under 30 minutes.

Quit my job / retire, not impossible but questionable in 2019.

Lose 1 stone (after Xmas)
Plan wife's 60th birthday and implement
Get a new car
Plan bike trip to the Arctic Circle
See if I can get to see the Northern Lights
Maybe sell bike and give up biking (after Arctic Circle trip)
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Barmy, wash your mouth out, give up biking? Ive thought about bikes and getting older. My plan is to just down size as i get older. Strange as it might seem, those new Enfield 650 look interesting as a toy.

I think we're away three times on holiday next year - retirement is hell

However, that doesn't include the bike trip which is to be two weeks, in June, riding through France into Germany and back. Really looking forward to this one. We're going to pull in a visit to Dachau whilst we're there - not quite sure how I feel about that - trepidation probably.

Our eldest niece will be moving to Munich with a new job in February so I'm hoping to see her and her family when we're over there

The eldest daughter is due to give birth, for the third time, at the beginning of June and our youngest should graduate from university - so a busy year. Fingers crossed for it all to go well

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all on here and all those dear to you

I'm going to continue my miserable existence working for a living..

The only possible thing, might be a new Mazda3.
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

We're off th Thailand on holiday at the end of January, looking forward to that.

I should lose a bit of weight really.

Thinking about taking the GSX to France when the weather is nicer, no specific plans yet.

Gotta get my XS1100 resto project finished.

Getting all the plans and quotes together for some house remodeling, although the actual work will be in 2020 I reckon (because I need to get more money together and all the decent builders are on a 6 month to 1 year waiting list at the moment).

That should be plenty to get on with.

2019, i never have great plans. retiring doesnt interest me, i like my work. same again as this year ill be happy. if suzuki win a gp, will like that. if i can stay in b grade at golf, again happy. i live a very simple but good life. boring you say, no, not at all. my family, my wife, my bikes, pretty much a perfect life.

Yeah, when I say retire, it probably means doing a lot more work!

Buy a smaller run down house with more land to fix up as a final home, have a few acres to grow stuff and keep some livestock, get stuck into my bike projects and have room to store a few more etc etc.

Retiring for me is doing more of my own stuff and less of someone else's.

Where abouts ?
Have you been before ?

I was in Phuket (Kata Beach) earlier this year.

I personally prefer Cambodia but I may be back in Thailand in 2019 just for a lazy week on the beach / around the pool if this years travels take me that direction.

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

If you use the right guidelines this shouldn`t be impossible....as long as you are in good health of course.
