It's been mentioned in a couple of previous threads.
Brand new old bikes.

Maybe sat in dealers warehouses, often bought by collectors not riders.

Seen a few recently, and a couple of places / sites specialise in them.

I find them interesting, both in good and bad ways.

Nice there are new unmolested examples to me seen and shown, but the price is often a bit of an eye opener, and I've heard horror story's of them turning into money pits when on rare occasions folk actually use them.

I still find them interesting though.

Nice to see there are gems like this out there, way over my price limit.
A mate of mine bought a Buel Lightning like that 4 years after production it was found in a warehouse in Sydney  8 Buels only one red Lightning and he bought it instantly, delevered it in the crate up to his front door, the price tag was not as outragous as the above mentioned bikes. Think he payed 8-9k

Visited a good friend of my late father in laws today. Said he had sold his collection of lovely older bikes. Five went to the UK, one was an RC30. Every bike of his was  mint.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

A mate of mine in Oz sold one on Ebay as new to a guy in Melbourne for $29000 that was a few years back.
I sold my 350 with a conrod hanging out the front for $2000 didn't have matching numbers.

The prices of bikes from the 70's and 80's have rocketed over the last few years..
Just take a look at Yamaha FS1E's, Kawasaki Z900's and 1100 Katanas for starters...Crazy prices!
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Tony, is that a cbx? Bloke up the road has one made into a cofee table, still complete untouched bike. Has 87ks on speedo. Not thous, just 87. He also has 13 bevel drive 900ss Ducati. Also a green frame 750ss, unlimited worth. was offered 50 th. bucks for it in 1996, imagine now. That Honda in crate, wow.

Shanered, its sad we dont have those bikes now. 1973 Dad & I had modern bikes, gt550, gt750, 250 hustler,xs650 Yam plus at least 20 old bikes, Indian Scout, Ariel Red Hunter, BSA Gold Star, Many more. Those were in good nick, had others needing work. Were good times. Had a 1937 ULA Harley with sidecar, worth over 100 g todays money. Very rare as 1300 not 1200 and reverse gear.
