The Coromandel is such a stunning place. I've holidayed there twice now; first time camping in Hahei and second time based in Whangamata. Haven't been there on a bike yet but it's definitely on my list! Based in Wellington though so it's not going to be a weekend trip so will have to get something planned.

Running out of time to look at the Pohutukawa trees, the Kiwi Christmas Tree. So we thought we had best hop on the bike and go do the Coromandel Loop. Turned out to be a week or so too early. A few flowers out but not all that stunning red yet.
Had a great day out on the bike with management. Nice to ride the bike with its new boots. Stopped at Waihi for a coffee and to assess the weather. Which was bad but it passed over quickly enough.
Decided to carry on to Coromandel. Had a late lunch then toik off over the hill on to the other side of the peninsula. Through Whitianga, to Tairua. On the way we spotted some roosters at the side of the road. Nothing unusual there, the pig that was wih the was.
We had a great day out on the bike but arrived home safe and sound but very wet as the last 20k it pissed down.
Hot shower dry clothes..... great day out with the missus  :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
