For all those wishing to fit additional switched power circuits to their 14, this unit is absolutely superb.

Easy to connect, easy to setup and comes complete with self-healing fuses. Not overly large either.

Just fitted one to my bike for running Sat Nav, additional lights, tyre pressure indicator and additional USB ports.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Thanks for that Mr Barmy.
:onya:

I'm crap at electrics.

I took power off the horn.
Its close to the bars and easy to get too.
I made a male/female T piece that go's in between the feed and the wire
to pick up power and used the mounting bolt for my earth.

This is only live with the ignition on which suits me.
The horn is live with the ignition and activated by the button earthing it.
(Why you hear car horns going sometimes when they have an accident)

Not sure what amp(?) its rated at ? Electrics baffle me!
It runs a sat-nav or phone charger no problem.

On 14's it's much easier to find switched power Tony - and what you have done is what I have done in the past (you can also pick up switched power from the orange wire in the headlight bowl incidentally).

But having wired in additional LED spots on my Explorer recently, finding switched power which would support them was an issue as Triumph have built some clever electrics with relays and god knows what else, and then wrapped so much bodywork (which takes ages to remove and refit) that it makes finding switched power in the first instance a bit of a game! Hence when I found one switched power outlet (USB port under the rear seat), fitting one of these units has made my life for connecting additional electrics so much easier.

A fancy fused relay - for 5!   good price for that too.  Good find Dave.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Thanks Barmy.

I will have a look if I have an orange wire.
I did a chop-job when I changed the clocks and indicators, my wiring isn't pretty!
Should still be an orange feed from the loom I guess.

Should be Tony, will go up into the Ignition Switch; alternately, if you want something "mid bike", if you look at your fuse box, you'll find the same wire going in there as well.

I used the switched power from the large orange wire

The headlight mounting bolts are no good for the earth. Any suggestions on one avail in the loom??

You can tap into any black/white wire in the loom as they are all -Ve. Alternatively there is a loose plug near the rear light unit with a -Ve and permanent +Ve 12v supply.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Horn wires a good option. Switched and easy to run to bars. I use them and no probs. piggy back connectors.

If it is do the cables just push into the connectors?  (they do look like sprung clamps)

Yes that is it (I have just updated the link in my original post, not sure why it didn't work any longer)

Unless Mark has updated the outlet box, the 'clamps" have small screws on top, similar to what you find in household plugs, so you push the wire in and screw them down.

Product is still available from Mark, had absolutely no issues with it since fitting it to my Tiger Explorer
