Missing centre stand cushion

Hi All

I have removed the Scorpion exhaust cans from my K3,  the centre stand rested against a cushioned bracket on the left side link pipe.

With the standard cans refitted, the centre stand is missing it's original cushion pads and therefore clearance between chain and stand is poor and not doing it's job.

So i'm looking for new cushions, but have noticed they are differences between the K2 & K3.

Is there a preference to go for ?

Thanks in advance.

If you have a K3, & want original bungs, I'd say go for the K3 ones, however, lots of guys just stick / bolt a rubber bung of the appropriate thickness to do the job.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

I fixed a bonnet stopper to my stand when I removed my stock pipe - cheap and works well  :onya:

Mister Fishfinger

Mine's a rubber buffer off a toilet seat. Fitted it last weekend after the original Suzuki one split and fell off somewhere in rural England.

The advantage of my new one is it has a hole in the middle, so I can use an M5 bolt, nut and penny washer to keep it there. It's also £1.50 for a pack of 2, compared to £6.97 for the Suzuki original.

Don't worry chaps, it was a new one so it hadn't actually been on a toilet seat...

Morning all.

Beware - last time I went into my local Suzuki dealers to buy a replacement centre stand rubber buffer - I ended up buying a Hayabusa!!!  Try explaining that to the missus!

I still kept my 1400 though!  I have used a doorstop rubber and a bolt as I got fed up replacing the original Suzuki stops which are expensive for what they are.

I have a 2003 GSX1400 owned since new (Blue and White of course).  I have a 1977 Suzuki GT380 café racer and A Japanese import Yamaha XG250 Tricker.  I'm interested in anything mechanical.  Was an aircraft technician / inspector, but I took early retirement - because I could!

Doorstep rubber +1. Don't go for white though...

Keep the rubber side down.          Mick
