Shanghai and Tokyo trip.

Wife and l have a trip booked to Shanghai and Tokyo in a couple of weeks. Her son teaches in Shanghai. We are also going to the Automechanika show in Shanghai which l am very much looking forward to.
Do you fellas have any suggestions for places of interest to visit?
Have been told the tour around Tokyo in gokarts is worth doing. Have also been told the Suzuki museum is worth going to.
Got to get the bullet train to get there.

Yeah, but in Japan they drive on the left - should be no problem for Kiwis, they will feel right at home.

The car show in China will LOOK remarkably like a car show anywhere but you'll see the brands are 'knock off'.

Oh that's a Land Rover you'll think. Nope it's a "Land Wind".
They know they are not fooling anyone, and they don't care either !


If you go to Japan, and go to the Suzuki museum, and DON'T post pictures on your return, I'm a gonna wield the ban hammer !

Thanks guys. Getting close now. Got our International Driving permits so we can go on the Tokyo Kart Tour and got tickets to the Automechanika Show in Shanghai.
Suzuki Museum is about 250kms from Tokyo in Hamamatsu. Looks like 90mins on the Bullit Train. Hopefully the bride will be straining at the leash to go have a look........
