Gear Pedal Bush

I'm sure this has been covered, but has anyone re bushed the gear change pedal?
Mine has a fair bit of play in it now and I'm sure it's causing my sometimes rough gear changes.

New gear shift lever is £54.77 and the shaft is £12.40..There must be a cheaper way of sorting it.

I had one on another bike done years ago.

A 6 pack of his favourite beers and the guy re-did it like new on his lunch break.

Any small engineering places near you? Cash job?

just need one, some washers either side. need to ream out gear lever a bit to get bush in, all very easy.

Just a quick update on this thread.
I actually purchased a new gear lever at the silly price of £55 as the bushes were really badly worn and causing bad gear changes. I'm going to re-bush the worn one and keep it as a spare.

The bushes ARE available in the UK

I ordered 2 of them and now awaiting arrival.

The one's I took out are hard plastic..I think the new ones are metal..

Froudy, if they fit easily, should be a best seller. Ive done mine with others but would choose them as no separate washers.

They look a bit different to the sales pic. That looks like stainless & these look like ali.

They are a hard metal and not aluminium
