Lovely bike. I bought a Z1000 brand new in 2003, my first new bike , turned down the gap insurance the dealer tried to sell me and picked up a screw in the back tyre on the ride home

Shame for your mate Grog.  The Thruxton's a nice looking retro, the 900's are a bit down on power for my liking though. Not tried a 1200, probably much better.
