"Sooooo  the usual story, got a 2002 '14,an by noew like me,its a bit sloppy at the back.Me's hearing lossa good reports 'bout Hagon rear shocks, waddya reckon peeps?"

Success you did join the forum. Welcome to you.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

ARH

Welcome!
The hagons get good reports from some on here who've used them... but a question... what do you mean by 'sloppy' at the backend?   Assume you've checked to make sure all the adjustments are the same on both sides?  Or are the originals just gubbed?  Not trying to teach a duck to suck eggs...  :onya:
A lot of 14 owners still have the original shocks (me included) and they perform pretty well if set up properly.  I guess a lot will depend on your riding style... but you can't expect gp handling on a bike like the 14 anyway 😉

Andre

Welcome  :hat:

Very happy with original shocks AFTER they were repaired and fully rebuild as well as set up (internally and via adjusters) for my weight.

Notty

I have Hagon Nitros on mine but only because I needed the bike lowered for my little short legs - the originals were very low mileage (bike had 2K when I bought it in 2016 ) and I have to say it was better on those. :)
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Welcome zookeeper, I also have a 2002 and if you still have the stock shocks then that could be the problem. Check if the don't leak and still can be adjusted.

KiwiCol

Gidday Zookeeper, welcome to the forum.  Back end eh?  Well you've got the swing arm, shocks & rear bearings. AAAAND tyres, don't forget them! So, bit more detail on the 'loose' back end & we'll (collectively) see what we think may be the issue.  Cheers ears!
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

To all things 1402
You've come to the right place .
As already asked what is the problem with the back end ?
Hagon are good shocks about the same as good working standard ones .

Welcome to the forum sioux zookeeper.  :onya:  Hagon shocks are a good alternative to the original but check the originals are definitely shagged before you spend any money.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Bigger Birdie

I put Hagons on Bertha last year, after the current Mrs Birdie complained about the ride quality.
The old shocks weren't leaking, but weren't damping either.
The Hagons are a definite improvement, although I'm sure more money would get you better results if its top top quality you seek.
Oh, and welcome to the forum  :hat:

Afternoon folks,i'm currently sober and able to type. With me(fat-knacka) and my principal squeeze(normal size) the ol' bike likes to bottom out at the rear on pretty bumpy roads, but they are the originals,41000 miles later,we've had it for 10 years(but it's still not got a nickname that's stuck).Took a coupla newer bikes out for test  rides last week so we may have spoilt ourselves there.I'm not a fast rider, mostly in town(gosh darn pot holes!) but quite often two up.Gotta go,shoppin trip, keep well

sioux zookeeper
