Morning all

Does anyone have any experience of YSS shocks?

As my search for a good pair of 1400 rear shocks isn't proving very successful I am considering a pair of YSS "G" Series shocks as shown on the Wemoto web site, they look the part but don't know much about them

I have added a link to the site below

https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/suzuki/gsx_1400_k1/01/picture/rear_yss_g-series_twin_shocks

Any information or comments would be great
Cheers

I've no idea on these but they are £250 more than a pair of hagon nitros they do work well on a gsx1400.
Good luck it'll be interested to see how you get on with them if you go down that route.
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

I have Hagon Nitros - work fine and fantastic quality  :)
The older I get the better I was

YSS get good reviews. no nothing about them. made in thailand, nothing new there. most cars are. if Hagon are way cheaper, easy answer.

Hi Seth

I have had Hagon Nitro's before on another 1400 and I agree they are a good bit of kit, one of the reasons for looking at the YSS shocks is they are similar to the standard shocks having the piggy back reservoir

Do you know if club members get a discount off the Hagons as they show as costing £379 on their web site which is about £150 less than the YSS shocks
but don't have the piggy back on them

Thanks

Never used YSS, but they can't be that bad if Wemoto stock them and give a 2 year guarantee

As for Hagon Nitro's - no discounts through the forum, sorry
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

A chap on the Ducti forum just tried a set as he couldn't afford new ohlins, he's very impressed by them.  Took his bike on a track day and they performed really well.  If I find the link I will post it up for you.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I got my hagon nitros in a deal at a bike show I'm not sure if anywhere seals them who give us here a discount.
I passed mine on to @Del for what they cost me when I got a set of wp shocks from @gsxbarmy .

Well that was a stroke of luck, just had a look on ebay and the first thing that came up was a new pair of Hagon Nitros at £199 plus £9.95 postage

Pleased as punch, can take my time now and look at other options for the originals

Hi Big Geordi, do you know how I would check this please? The side of the box is marked with the part number 330 DI BLK, SNO71BLK & 17-20KG, this equates to roughly three stone, a weight that I haven't seen for some 49 years!

starting to worry a bit that i have messed up possibly with these!

Mine were new from Hagon and  also had 17-20kg on the box - no idea what it refers to - mine came set for fat git  :)

Thanks for the info Notty

I'm about 16st at the moment so will fit the shocks tomorrow and see how the bike feels, I imagine that the shocks are a standard build and are then fine tuned by adjusting the tension of the spring

If it comes to it I will try calling Hagon and see if they can offer any more information, as I remember the last time I purchased off them they were very helpful

Cheers
