Heard you blokes have a press conference called by Mal Turnbull at 1.00.
If he goes please consider having ours, she comes with a breastfeeding newborn and a well crafted socialist view.
Discount given for a prompt transaction.

As the radio plays Mental as Anything !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Our PMs are only on short term contracts. The British press are reporting us as the coup capital of the world! Anyway Malcolm T. just announced he was gone - ballot tomorrow.

Aussies here forget they vote for the party, not the Prime Minister, that's the party's job. Yet it's a regular cry "I voted for the other one, not him! "

Kiwifruit, they were singing the praise of your PM on the radio this morning as she's put a short term (1 year?) hold on MP's pay rises, they are trying to bring it in here, but hopefully a bit longer ( it won't happen... LOL)
.

Kiwifruit

Tony one thing is certain, they wont go short.
MP's pay rises here are usually announced on the 23rd ish of December and back dated to about June....... :rofl2:

(Nice legs for an old bird)

Sorry, but that's about as interested or serious I can be about Australian politics.

In France the verdict is still out on Macron, really popular at first as he wasn't  a career politician, but he is taking on the historically strong unions to reform the archaic employment laws, so going through an unpopular period.

Though in reality, France and the rest of Europe are just sitting in amazement with dropped jaws watching the government dissintergrate across the channel.
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

My understanding of Macron is that he became unpopular just after his honeymoon period, when he started doing the things he said he was going to do. Voters, eh? No pleasing them.

This side of the channel I think it's like grog said - no functioning government whatsoever. No functioning opposition either, as far as I can tell.

Sweaty

The current government is bad & the opposition is laughable.
The whole lot of them only care about keeping their overpayed positions & setting them self's up for life on 6 figure pensions.
What the Australian people want or need is not important.

And it's been like that over here for about 2 years now and they still get payed. I'm a British Citizen and had to go on the Electoral Roll just to open a bank account ffs.

VladTepes

Yes we do have a high rotation of Prime Minister recently.

and most Australians feel like this....

Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Well it's Done. ScoMo got the gig. Dutton must be fuming.

No Australian Prime Minister has lasted a full term since John Howard lost the 2007 election.   :frustrated:

We must be in some sort of competition with Italy for this....

wish someone would put their hand up, paulines dress is out of question. hand up i mean. what a thought. here we go again with same old stuff. wonder how much bucks turnbull walks away with.

Tony Nitrous

I'd vote for Julie Bishop.

I'd throw rocks and the corrupt union supporting a Bill Shorten.

ScoMo ?  The jury is still out.

At least he's not another bloody Pom like Gillard and Abbot !
