I ride nearly all motorway mile commuting, so the rear squares off long before the edges go. I've had anywhere between 4900 and 6250 miles out of the rear.
I generally fit 2 rears per year and one front.
The rear lasts longer during the winter as my speeds tend to drop a bit.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!
