Just a thought if u have a an after market oil cooler with take offs from the top can u put more oil in as the cooler would always b full in theory?
And when u change your oil u would then have to empty your oil cooler as it would always retain some used oil?
Thoughts on this peeps?

Sounds logical B.G.   The cooler would always have to be full of oil if the connections were at the top.  How much would they hold? ½ a Litre?
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

I have an after market cooler fitted the normal way up.. In other words with pipes at the bottom..
I can tell you the whole cooler gets hot and not just the lower part.
Andre (on this forum) was saying there is a valve within the engine that stops most of the oil from the cooler returning.
This would be backed up as when I changed my original cooler (bike had been stood 3 days) there was about .75 of a litre of oil that came out.
I reckon the coolers must self bleed the air  some how.

Thank you Simon. It's great to have actual data instead of just theory. :onya:
