New Oil Cooler fitted

Ordered the new rad by phone on Monday and it arrived Tuesday lunchtime.. 
The new oil cooler went on very easily indeed..
In fact removing the old one and replacing the new one took about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The hardest part (though not hard) was fitting some sort of spacers for the guard.
The new radiator needs a 6mm spacer each side under the guard..
For now I have used some number plate bolts but have ordered some Stainless spacers of eBay of the correct size.
Overall I am happy with how easy the radiator was to install.

Yeah Speedy, well done. A question. Seems the coolers all fail in same place. What exactly is the fail? Can i future proof mine with a mod ? My mate owns a radiator shop, builds all sorts of coolers/radiators. If a preventative fix can be done, he will. Thanks.

It seems the concertina shape cracks and leaks after enough heat cycles, I doubt it can be avoided except by a better design. My assumption is the oil flow is left to right (as you sit on the bike) so the bottom left corner gets the greatest thermal differences.

Ask your mate as he should have an idea if anything can be done.

My fix will be a properly designed cooler with welds instead brazing. The one Simon has looks pretty good to me.

The replacement cooler that Speedy used came from Aaron Radiators I believe
