Nah, it'll be Trump next time.  Mans an imbecile / lunatic tosser.  imo.

I am genuinely surprised he is still alive.

Almost placed a bet he would be killed within the first six months after his inauguration.

Guess miracles do exist

Back on soccer....

So France has defeated Belgium (the French are a happy lot today judging by the crowds in Paris)

That just leaves England to face Croatia for the other spot in the final.

I hope England gets up - would e great to see an England v France world cup final.   :onya:
Heck I'd even watch it, which is saying something as I haven't watched  a whole games of soccer since... grade 7.
And only then because I was playing...

I suspect though that England would rather lose a semi against Croatia than they would lose a final against France. Never hear the end of that, would you !

Anyway I'm hoping for an narrow victory by England over France in the final. Let's hope that all pans out.

The DGSE are pinning the blame on the soccer team now are they?

I know F A about football, & have difficulty understanding the total mass-hysteria that ensues around it, HOWEVER, we live next to a  busy main road & since retirement we enjoy relaxing in the conservatory or garden,  our brains somehow 'switch-off'  the traffic noise, but every time there's a big match on, we are 'deafened' by the silence, & I wonder why!!

So, yeah, we love the world cup!! :happy1:

Much as I dislike him, and wouldn't shed a tear if someone did knock him off, the sad truth is there's a lot of Americans who don't regret voting for him, partly due to their hate for professional politicians. Much as it pains me to say it, I wouldn't be surprised if he got in again!

Not much into football but yesterday I showed my support by erecting a flagpole and two flags.

Neighbours were over the moon and came round as I have UK tv with HD, local terrestrial tv here is rubbish so I ended up watching a whole game.
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

I have to agree with you. I have a sinking feeling that he is going to get in again. Have a look at these interviews about his latest idea, "Space Force". This is the level of intellect we are dealing with:

Anyway, back to the football (not soccer) - speaking as a Welsh person living in England who happens to like football (not soccer) I am really enjoying this World Cup and I would like it if England get through to the final (and maybe win), if only because it will give them something else to bang on about instead of 1966. That's got a bit tired now after 52 years.

Also my daughter's football mad (and English), so it would be nice for her.

I am Welsh and find myself cheering for England much the better side but have to say referee is crap...wrong shaped balls but hey ho - good luck England in extra time . My mate Ian in dover sent me this - didn't understand until I asked the girls in fat club  :)
The older I get the better I was
