Just wandering, which oil drain plug gaskets do you use ? OEM, which are kinda expensive and not always available, or local manufacture ?

Any the right size will do. They are just soft aluminium or copper crush washers essentially. As long as it doesn't leak after its all good  :onya:

Yep, that´s what I´m gonna do from now on.

Just don't over tighten it and strip the sump threads out :onya:
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

I use copper washer. Sometimes, not every time, I do softening heating to washer, but I never change it.
Tightening always to 23 nm with a torque wrench.

This is my daily bread I work with aircraft; thanks anyway. Always good to refer, if not for the more mechanically uninclined. I would prefer copper but more dificult to get around my place. Bought a couple of aluminium ones and they´re soft enough anyway.

They work just great. Only issue is if you go over a very high speed bump (Vlad) or through a bloody big pot hole (Me) you end up snapping them off, wrecking the sump & loosing the oil all over the ground & rear tyre.  It's a shame they hang just a tad too low & become the first point of contact under the bike.

I've not fitted one again since my disaster, just gently on the sump nut now.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎
