@froudy
Especially as both lorries are supposed to be restricted to 56mph .
It's even worse up here in Scotland as we only have 2 lane motorways . :furious:

Sounds like they need to come to New Zealand. Lane changing is an exciting part of the journey which must be done at a speed at least 30kph faster than the traffic flow.
Down the on ramp into 3 solid lines of traffic. Head right, gotta get to the outside fast lane. Start to tailgate.....thats not working, Need to overtake.....let the weaving begin. One night im in the middle lane, some hot rod hat backwards dickhead comes flying past on my right. Thats ok till he see's the cop car just ahead. He hits the brakes hard, locks up and tags the Armco. He must think its a remake of the fast and the furious. (What happened to that dude)  But they are just going home.....
Read in a bike mag today that a bloke from the UK touring here reckon our driving is worse than ltaly. That dont sound good  :rofl2:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Mister Fishfinger

At least Italians can actually handle a vehicle properly. Driving there is very stressful for foreigners but there's very little road rage because nobody gives a shit.

The US and Canada on the other hand - average driving ability is very low. The cars are easy to drive, roads are wide, straight and boring, the driving test is easy and everyone has a massive sense of entitlement.

ARH

Italians handling cars?? Really?  Just take a look at every local car driving the Amalfi coast road... most of them will be missing mirrors cos they don't stay on their side of the road!  Last time I was there I decided to park my car up and take the bus!  :rofl2:
Same on the motorways... they straddle the lanes... any lane... most disconcerting when you are abiding by the 'normal' rules.   Having said that...they all drive that way  :happy1:

No offence to Italian drivers btw....

Hooli

When I've been to Italy they appear to have two speeds. 20mph during the day & 120mph at night, on the same roads!

This post certainly got the grumpiness going, three pages already
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

This needs reviving, can't let it just drift off to the background & be left with "joyfulness & light", "puppies & butterflies" filling the boards!!

Come on chaps, give us your gripes.  :deadhorse:

Well there still at it but added a new twist to the utter incompetence . . . . . . .  still in the middle lane well sort of . . . . their crossing the inside and the middle so much so that I passed one yesterday and didn't need to move out of the middle lane . . . . . The 5h1t themselves and had to put their phone down
Now I wasnt hanging around (was really warm here yesterday) and passed so close I'm sure they read the tag on me breeks then pulled into the inside lane - they started flashing the lights but suddenly moved into the inside lane . . .

Job Done  :soapbox:

I find a flyby on the nearside often wakes them up to the empty lane.

Speedy1959

Talking of Flyby..

Is it just me that has other bikers overtaking me with 4" of clearance?
A couple of years ago my Brother had a Hyabusa.. He is a much errr faster rider than me..
He used to love to drop back to allow me to take the lead then come past at 120 plus with inches to spare..
Talk about shock wave !!

Thankfully he doesn't ride now !

Hooli

No idea, but if I didn't know someone bloody well & exactly how they rode I'd never leave that little margin for error.
