Fantastic pics Barmy, you've reminded me how much I need to get back down there again.

Great scenery Dave, would have been a wonderful trip.  :onya:

We have smaller scale versions of similar rides, you guys can go for days in that country, ours lasts an hour or 2 then we're out of it.

Very impressed, took everything in its stride and then some. Having the electronic screen and suspension was a godsend as I could soften it and put the screen up on motorways and then up the suspension to sport mode and lower the screen for the twisties. That with cruise for the motorway stretches made it a joy to ride and was bang on (for me) for the trip. In all honesty it was all I expected and more for me, with my neck and back condition the ideal bike to take the strain off.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Great write up Dave - We will be there last two weeks in August - renting R1200GS.

I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Welcome home.  Looks like a great trip !

All the mods you've made to that GSX1400 barmy make it near unrecognisable!

Seriously though it sounds like it was just the ticket for a trip like that !
