Anyone heard of them ?

If the bearing is double sealed (1 on each side of the bearing ) it'll be better than standard .
I always source my bearings and any seals from a local bearing supplier as all bearings on the gsx1400 are standard sizes .sometimes need to wait a couple if days for seals.
always cheaper than ebay .
I use skf (welded cage, double sealed bearings )
Sorry I couldn't be more help I've not heard of PFI before so will be interested in how you get on with them.
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

Not much help here either. Tried to look at their website. 404 error on all the google found entries I looked at. Not a good impression for a company that supposedly distributes to over 70 countries. Not necessarily a sign of the quality of their products but...

Generally any of the big bearing brands will be fine. Unless they are china-made (prejudiced yes).

The SKF that Seth uses have a good reputation.

Could I ask why are you changing the bearing. I ask because I have a rumbling sound. I will change my Chain and Sprockets, maybe for cushioned/quiet ones at some point, so would it be worth changing this bearing at the same time. Is there a way of checking this bearing?

seth

Hiya and welcome you have a pm . :frustrated:
The reason to check/change bearings especially sprocket carrier one as the standard bearings fitted by Suzuki aren't the very best quality and have been known to fail in as low as 18,000 miles.
It's recommended replacing with quality bearings at every chain and sprocket kit change.
I'd suggest as a new member you have a good look around as loads of useful info here .

What seth said, they always wear out so need changing regularly.

The best way to check it is to pop the rear wheel out, lift the sprocket carrier from the wheel & poke your finger in the hole. If the bearing isn't smooth or has any wobble then it's buggered.
