Hi guys i could really do with some help i have read the various exhaust posts and have picked up loads of tips such as the centre stand being different that answers why the link pipes dont touch the stand. I have got hold of a left side rear foot peg holder so ready to go there, but my issue is that i have bought a Delkivic collector and ends bits but have standard down pipes and chose how i try i can not get the right side down pipes to fit properly they just will not push far enough into the collector box. I have even removed the gaskets and tried it without incase it was the gaskets that were stopping it but it was no different at all still would not fit and blows like mad when you start it up. anyone have any ideas.

Are your downpipes still in situ?

Only I've just fitted a Delkevic collector and cans about three months ago. No probs.

Has it been damaged in transit? And alignment it out?

I fitted mine to fixed headers fine. Make sure gaskets are seated properly. In collector.  And slap grease on ends of headers. Bit of a juggling act. But, they went on fine.

Just a thought. Are your headers true. Not been Kerbed? Something is wrong here.

Have you taken the down pipes off and possibly mixed them check underneath to see if they sit flush with each other if there fine the collecter should line up with all four pipes then gently push on all together in one go if you slide onto one end it will not reach the other side .
Check to see if the collector is not catching up on anything .
If ya still getting bother you may have to loosen the headers to allow wiggle room .
Offer it up to the downpipes to see want it lines up like if the collectors s/hand you.ll soon see if theres an issue it sounds as though its catching up on something and not going on far enough maybe some gentle pursuasion with a rubber hammer and a bit of grease good luck and lets know how you get on

How did you get on?

I'm sure one of my posts has gone missing.

You might have to go nuclear and slacken your header bolts off. I was fortunate not to need this. Just a thought. The collector you took off. OEM. Offer it to the replacement- they should match perfect. Mine did. This might show where the problem is?

Good luck.
