I am quite certain that I would like it. Actually I had plans to move there from the US. Made the "mistake" of a stop-over in Germany to spend some time with my parents and got stuck here (long story). Now I am quite content here. Lots of very nice areas to ride here and in the Benelux countries. But you never know what life has in store.

I've added a couple of extra things to the tool kit (Allen keys mostly)
Not needed it but have used it to help others .

Same here, it's fine for small daft jobs you might need to do while away. I've also got a 1/4" socket set that lives under the seat & a puncture kit along with a can of tyre seal. If I need more than that it's time for a breakdown service as I'd have to buy parts anyway. Oh & a spare pair of levers as that's all I ever seem to break when away from home.

OK resurrecting this thread:

1. Does anyone have specifics, photos, details, or internet links for the factory GSX1400 tool kit.
(The ONLY reference to it in the owners manual is attached)

2. What tools are people actually carrying?

There are some useful bits in the stock tool kit but they are kinda shitty with excessive tolerances etc.
I'd like to build a tool kit to
a. replace the existing tools  with quality items,
b. add items that are useful and not included in the stock tool kit.   

If some sort of consensus can be reached I might even consider putting together a "GSX1400owers.org" Suzuki toolkit for purchase (by order, prepaid). We'll see.

Cable ties (Zip Ties) & Insulation tape. Pocket Knife, Bungy cords. small socket set. couple screwdrivers, metric hex key set, sml can CRC, first aid kit, puncture repair kit, tire sealer, spare set of levers, fuses & original indicator relay. Room for a mini compressor (stripped back to naff all) but not always carried.

If I'm away for the weekend I'll also put a leg of Lamb, 3 cooked chickens, a loaf of bread & a tub of Marg!      yeah, or not.

@VladTepes . I have a standard tool kit to which I've added a few extras, on the left is what Suzuki give you, on the right is a 14mm open end,a 10 mm ratchet ring spanner a selection of hex keys to fit all hex bolts on bike and the front axle wheel nut. The rest is all bits and pieces I carry with me.

OK so the part number for the OEM tool kit is 09800-21039 and is still available for order from Suzuki.

I've attached a picture of what that includes, though nowhere is there any description of the actual items / sizes etc.

From memory the included spanners have 10, 12, 14 & 17mm ends.

I added a 1/4" socket set with a load if bits to do security torx etc and JIS screwdrivers.

It's a Halfords (a motor factors here) one from about 20 years ago, but I've got the little tray of bits out of some other things I've had over the years.
