Do you have any tools with, while you are riding?

Yesterday I had a problem on a road and no tools beside my Letherman Multitool (it's almost always with me), so today I went and buy tool kit for my 14.
It's WERA 8100 SA 6 - pouch is quite compact, and it will fit easily under the seat.

Maybe it's more then minimum needed, but i really like tools, and this look sweet  :embarassed:

Like the kit was that local buy or over the net looks cool
look check and look again  then you see the fool

Having serviced the bike for the first time last week, I went through all combinations of sockets/extensions to change the plugs, only later discovering the original toolkit strapped in place under the seat.

I don't think, by the look of it, anyone had so much as taken it out.
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

I've got to say that the tool kit that comes with the bike is ok to have as a back up

I've added a couple of extra things to the tool kit (Allen keys mostly)
Not needed it but have used it to help others .

@Mrg it was local buy. Amazon would be cheaper (but not much, cause usually there is no free delivery for my country), but I decide not to wait :)
There is link from UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zyklop-Speed-Ratchet-metric-pieces/dp/B00IMF1CDO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525634924&sr=8-1&keywords=wera+8100+sa+6

I never had OEM tool kit for my 14, and had allen keys set under the seats. Mostly to install DB-killer to my Akra, in case police will ask me to do it  (but they never did)...

@seth helping other fellow bikers, is very strong reason to have tools  :onya:

I replaced my tool kit with a role of toilet paper... serious :whistling:

In case of a breakdown - I call my road side club.

The only useful item in the OEM tool kit is the plug spanner..The rest might as well go straight in the bin :furious:
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Tool kit £79 or RAC £45  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

I ride modern bikes so I don't need to carry a tool kit.  :whistling:
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I have a puncture kit that comes with a mini compressor.
its the sort that uses rubber mushrooms and no glue.
I have used it for real and can vouch that it definitely works and is not a gimick !

Highly recommended.

Wouldn't be too bad in Europe.

Not a great idea out here.

Coast is populated and has phone reception but inland is a different story.
.

Andre

Australian inside I would seriously consider a sidecar.

Don't try that in Australia Andre. If you're lucky to have mobile reception you're likely to be 400km from the nearest help.

At least you'll have a clean arse when they find your body.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.
