After seeing some stainless feed lines on a website and then seeing them on Kanerdogs build I reached out too Earls performance who advised:

http://www.earls.co.uk/earls/adapters/specialtakeoffs.html

The following take offs will fit the GSX1400,

ED04               -6 male
ED04R             -6 male
ED04-8            -8 male
ED17               -8 male

***The ED04L will not fit**

So i asked what the difference is between them all and their reply was:

The ED04R has a -6 (9/16x18 UNF) male thread and the ED17 has a -8 (3/4x16 UNF) male depending on what size hose and fittings you plan to use.

So......My Question - WHAT SIZE HOSE should i use?  -6 or -8?   I have a K2 with TTS high lift cams and its been ported and flowed.

Internal Diameter of a Dash (AN) -6 hose is 9.5mm. ID of a -8 Hose is 12.7mm. The Outer diameter of the metal tubing going to the cooler is 12.7 mm. Deducting the tubing's wall thickness (guess 1.6mm) , you arrive at approximately a -6 internal diameter.

Taking a hose with a larger ID would theoretically increase oil flow and decrease oil pressure. I would go for what is closer to the original (-6) as I don't know how much a larger ID would affect the oil pump and the rest of the system.

If you want more cooling, go for a larger capacity radiator  (more rows and/or depth).

Maybe someone with practical knowledge chimes in

ED04               -6 male Head Cooler Takeoff(top)
ED04R             -6 male Head Cooler Takeoff 90deg (top)
ED04-8            -8 male Head Cooler Take Off
ED17               -8 male Standard Cooler Take Off

What I am missing here is this: "ED18 GSX 1400 Sump Take Off" Is this a -6 or -8?

Beware that the o-rings of the Take Offs have different part numbers 09280-15003 (take off engine block) vs. 09280-12012 ( Take off oil cooler) which implies different dimensions.
