Taz - get a quote from eBikeInsurance, they come out pretty well in the insurance ratings for service and price.

Pity us in France.

My insurance is €420. It may include breakdown but is WAYYYY more than I ever paid in the UK.

£200? I would bite your hand off.
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

Just renewed with mce it was £123 last year.
They quoted £190 As I had a speeding conviction last year (that they were told about at the time but didn't log it)anyway after a grumble from me and saying if they give me a deal final price was £143.50 full comprehensive .
50 year old, 6 years ncd protected, 8000 miles per year, 1xspeeding(3 points) No accidents
so that that over till September when the other bike is due.

Sadly insurance premiums the world over and in every area of insurance are increasing. Just because they can and they know you need it.
If you are very lucky they may even pay out should you make a claim. Should you be even luckier, they may even pay you out something close to what you think you are covered for. But probably not !!
Its how they make their money.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

The main problem is insurance is now a market not a service .
They need to make a profit on a thing we by law have to have.
Plus so much scams these days if false claims and fraud it means they keep putting up prices .

Shop around, bennetts wanted £297 renewal,so I went online and now with Devitt's for the princely sum of £83 fully comp 9yrs ncb plus extras (leathers, helmet, etc, etc). It amazes me how these companies can think they can get away with it, charging so much, they must realise a simple search online sees us kissing them goodbye.

The biggest problem with insurance companies is that their sales staff are targeted on gaining new customers, not retaining old ones.  Quite often you can get a better price from the same company if you apply as a new customer  :furious:.  What they should be doing is tapping into existing customers they know are a safe bet and offering a decent price to stay, but there is no bonus for that, only for new customers, nuts.

Well Carol Nash not budging so looks like post-office cheapest for jax. I gotta wait another couple of weeks for mine. As others said ti's a shame new customers more important than old  makes no sense. Oh well there loss

Bit like the Banks Taz.
New customers get the red carpet, old customers the rubber mat !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Never stay with the same company for more than a year. When you join you get a new customer discount.
Also make sure you don't have automatic renewal on your policy. I got caught out with that once.
