This guy posted up on the FB Bandit page yesterday.
He was involved in a smash and is after parts to rebuild his GSX14. I've invited him along to the Org..
By the look of it he was very lucky. He suffered a compound fracture of his lower leg, but it could have been a lot worse!

Looking at the damage I would say that the frame is probably bent, so I'd be surprised if it gets back on the road.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

My thoughts too Dave..
I told him to get it checked before he throws ££'s at it.

Hopefully he's ok and back on  his feet and ok very quickly .
If he finds us here I'm sure we can help him get the bike back on the road asap .
only a slightly modified gsx1400

Definitely needs checked but sometimes when the forks snap the frame is saved tho only an expert will be able to tell properly.
Either way hopefully he is better soon and no long-term injuries.

Gonna be bent for sure   :bugga: - Who was at fault Steve?
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

"Hit diesel on wet road in to a bad bend , was doing 45 wide to see through , all good then all over , 1st oncoming car took front of bike n second my leg , not a mark on gear. Road was so oily emergency crews where slipping trying to lift stretcher"

Lucky boy by the look of it. Hope he's ok & finds his way here.

you just never know whats round the next bend ... hope he heals up quickly and the bike is savable but i agree with everyone else it will be a miracle if the frame is not bent.
I sold a bike years ago a gpz1100 the guy had a test ride liked it payed me for here and off he went , there was a phone call 2 hours later from his mate he had come off it and rote it off on an oil patch on a corner ... he was gutted and quite badly injured a broken arm and his helmet came off and he ended up severing his bottom lip off which they did manage to sow back on !
i intend to live for ever or die trying !!

Just noticed the Irish plates in the picture - he'll have more of a job sourcing parts there than in the UK and costs for sending parts across the river isn't cheap.
I think before long the scrap yard will be pulling it to bits - whilst I can understand his "oh I'll rebuild it" realistically its not worth it - he should take the cash and buy another

If it's written off he should buy it back and break it himself.
he'll get good prices for the good parts save the scrap guys charging a fortune for the parts.

With a force high enough to snap the forks, I'd be more worried about the headstock cracking/snapping around the bearing housing. Most bends in a frame can be straightened.
