Up here in the frozen north east coast of Scotland it's been ok just a bit winter roads on the coast were ok the main problem was wind blown snow making it hard to see and a lorry getting stuck on a small hill.
I think inland has had it worse than here .
Down south of Dundee and across the central belt of Scotland have had it bad in the red zone of weather.
They are saying that the south west and Wales are getting it over then next few days .
Tomorrow is the first day of spring .
Stay safe everyone it'll soon be past and we'll be back on our bikes .

Indeed, so much for spring!

I'm just trying to imagine those guys picking up and driving their new "18" plate bikes tomorrow - or maybe not!

Hopefully this will abate in the next few days and things will start to cheer up a bit.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Sweaty

Stay safe over there folks, it has been getting coverage on the news down here & the latest was a guy dying Trying to rescue his dog from a frozen lake in London park.
Keep safe.

Hey Seth, fit some chains & you'd be right!

Stay safe guys & keep warm.  Thinking of you all shivering in that.

We've got the deepest snow I've seen in many years! Even the Jeep has struggled with it, although the 4 wheel drive gives me an advantage in forward traction steering and stopping are an entirely different story especially on any downward slopes as the tyre tread just clogs up with compacted snow which freezes

This is not the deepest snow I have seen, not even close to it, but I had to put snow chains on to my old Volvo T 24 tractor to get out from our yard!
And the temperature was -26°C this morning..  Waiting for summer, really...

Dont seem too good up there. As a kid l dont ever recall snow like that in Essex.
As others have said keep safe.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

So far 45 death from the cold in Europe in less than a week. 18 of these in Poland.

Red Biker

Jeez that puts it all in perspective Andre, I'm going slightly stir crazy working from home all week but nothing life threatening!

Many a Donkey has lost its hoof on the rocky road, don't be that Donkey!

That's a terrible thing Andre.

The problem over here is this is very unusual weather for the UK and why it's such a big thing here and we're not geared up for this kind of weather .
It might have changed but a few years ago Devon and Cornwall on have 1 snow plough between them that they shared we just don't get it bad enough often enough to be prepared enough.
No money apparently.

Places in Europe that are much more used to this kind of winters have all the equipment needed and the drivers are also more prepared.
I've seen signs in Germany and Italy that say vehicles have to have snow tyres fitted from October-march by law .
