Hi all
This is my hid kit fitting and whats in the hids kit and how to do it, as well as where you can buy the kit from
The first part of fitting is as follows

No electrics are needed to be on at this stage ,,,,,,,,,
The head light unit is un screwed and the old light fitting is taken out , now you can cut the light bulb unit away altogether or you can crimp the new wire onto the old wires and keep the old bulb unit in place, it's up to you. I myself cut the old one away and kept it so i can be put it back to its original configuration later If you need to.

Having cut or not the old wires and bulb unit  away ,the next part is to get the new ballist hid unit , there are three port connections here one only fits one so you can't go wrong at all. So next stage is to find the right bulb metal three prong holders ( these are in the plastic bag only one fits our bike ) note how your old one was together. , then replicate this with the new buld unit.
Now that you have fitted the new hid bulb into the headlight unit ...and at this stage you don't have to plug the connections into the hid ballist unit so headlight and bulb together fitted and connections are awaiting connection ok good

Next the three wires
Blackand white is to black
White is to yellow
Blue is to white
Now you might be asking why is blue to white, I found that the diagram they sent me white to white and blue to yellow . But when I did this and tried it the main beam didn't work or show on the high beam light on the clocks .. so I called them and told them what had happened, told me to switch them around i.e. How I said at the start and hey it worked and showed on the high beam on the clocks

So you can crimp or solder up to you
I then tested the lights side beam full beam on off and when I was happy I placed the grey hid ballis unit in the bottom right hand side of the head light. it's a squeeze but it can be done, refitted the headlight

I did buy the spare bulb when I bought the hid unit from them as it was cheaper to do so.

So where to buy from fleabay there is a pic of the unit and price and discription of the item and if you look for their name wizbizltd you can find them

The item number is   282054202270 on fleabay guys  hope this helps  all I can say is that this unit works brilliantly. I now see so much better at night and even in the day this light is well seen. enjoy 😊
look check and look again  then you see the fool

I fitted these LED's to my Triumph Notty, Hooli also fitted them to his 14 - direct swap, better light, lower draw on the alternator. Win Win.

HID illegal here unless self levelling suspension and headlight glass cleaning system fitted. LED are ok. I dont have a prob with mine, halogen 120 but draw only 50 watts. Just changing my house to LED downlights, 12v type. Beautiful light, very bright. 20 lights now use 80 watts, before, one used 50 watts. Big difference.

Hi Barmy! What led bulb do I need to search for as the one in that link is unavailable. I've had a look but theres plenty out there and i will definitely get it wrong.

Benjah,
I highly recommend these..
They are MOT compliant and offer the same beam pattern as the Halogen H4 bulbs..
They only draw 12 watts so free heated grips in winter!
Plus there are NO FANS or other gimmickry attached..
A direct replacement and easy fit!
These are sold in pairs, so I suggest going halves with a mate whos bike has H4 fheadlight bulbs.. Doesnt have to be a GSX1400.

I used those bulbs Dave and lasted only 18 months - probably vibration issues? gone back to Halogen as mates told me they couldn't see my front indicators as headlight too bright - and I have super bright led indicators  :bugga:

I remember we went thru the LED thing for a long time on here. I tried quite a few LED globes, High beam was the problem. Yours Speedy look good. Others have fitted full inserts, happy with them, STEDI etc. I went back to H4, Phillips Racing Vision GT200, amazing light, supposed to not last, mine has maybe 3 yrs now, light always on. Come in 2 pack so still have spare.Around $40 from Power Bulbs, they are the best to buy from in my experience.

I followed your advice Greg and got the Phillips Racing Vision GT200 - can't fault them. Only problem I had was front o/s indicator stopped after pulling the wiring about - pin inside the  connector  :bugga:

Thanks speedy! Are the halogens around the same price wise? I just want something better than the current bulb, it's not such a pressing upgrade since it's summer but something I want to tick of the list

Edit: the Phillips are £17 on Amazon! I'll give those a try! Thanks everyone!
