Thevisorshop.com (CROSSAN MOTORCYCLES LTD) also have a 15% discount for Jan.
I ordered a DID ZVMX & JT sprocket kit delivered to Australia for $221.52 (122.09 pound which includes 22.95 delivery) far cheaper than anything i could find over here or anywhere else delivered to Aus.
For eg, The chain only from Metalgear in Aus is $325.00 for a 126 link, as the only other option is a 114 link through them.

Great price as far as i can see and hopefully might be of use to any others who are ready for a new set as well.

Very good chain, but hard to rivet. Pin diameter of that ZVM-X chain should be 5.68-5.99mm (0.224-0.236 inch) after rivetting.
Not the same diameter than other 530 chains.

If you use the code XMAS it will further reduce the price too.

That price was including the Xmas (15%) discount Beaker

Ok - must have ordered differently to you

Sweaty

No, that's the one mate. Exactly the same price as mine said, but when i actually paid it through paypal, it came to $221.52 (due to the exchange rate at the time)
To amount   £122.09 GBP
Exchange rate: 1 AUD = 0.551161 GBP

Did you buy it ? if so, what were you actually charged ?

Beaker

Not yet - good point on the exchange rate at the time of purchase - that would explain it  :onya:

Hi T 24.

How do you find out the riveted pin size for various chains?

This would be info I'd find particularly useful.

I've used EK, RK and DID chains and am always a little nervous that I haven't riveted enough...

And riveting too much creates an instant tight spot...

Thanks.

I plan on living forever - so far, so good!

had a big look thru chain instructions. ones ive done before, rule of thumb was just flare a tiny bit more than other rivets on chain. never a problem. official answers from EK, RK, DID, 530 chain link rivet diameter. .217 to .228 of an inch or 5.5 to 5.8mm. EK make a screw in connector, never used but gets good reviews. just screw it together with 8mm socket. no idea of price but sounds a good idea. supposedly stronger.

Andre

Don't have to worry about riveting if using endless chain. :boogie: Grease your swing arm bearings while you are at it.

15 th ks back my chain stuffed up. tight link. i blame the wurth lube i was using. links were even rusty inside, ive posted this b4. i cut old chain to have a look. my sprockets looked all ok, i fitted a 100 dollar ek chain to wear them out. just an o ring but rated for 14 power.here i am , 15 th ks later. sprockets still look same. not even had to adjust chain. gear oil used as lube. very impressed.

That's non-stinky castrol VMX 80W gear oil? I am glad when my bottle of STINKY gear oil is empty.
