No its not STUPID power.
I've ridden Busa's that had more, and have mates with more powerful bikes.
If its well set up it should be OK, just nice to have that monster punch when you want it.

Just because it can make those numbers doesn't mean you need to all the time.
It'd be nice to have a 14 that didn't need a bit more.
