Is your shoulder so bad that you can't go in a car? This bloody sob story tells me you never wanted to go in the first place & using a shoulder problem seemed a good excuse to get out of it. This event is not all about the ride, it's a social event  with your internet friends too, so stop feeling sorry for yourself & go to Dorrigo. Two ways ... drive or HTFU and ride.
