Top speed of these things?

I was a wee bit naughty today whilst tootling around a back country road & gave it a quick squirt up to 210 (ish) km/h...Ive regularly hit 220 before running out of  back straight on me local track days & speculate their wouldn't be a hell of a lot more left in it with standard gearing? (pulling around 75-8000rpm)

Has anyone here completely tapped one of these things out & just how fast did it go?

Id like to find out but I also like my Drivers licence...

I may have allegedly pushed the 1400 to the limit - showed 140 MPH on the clock ( quite blurred ) which is around 225 KPH but my sat nav shows around 10 Mph less  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

The theoretical top speed at the red line is 191mph, at max power it is 144mph.  In reality I would be surprised if it would top a genuine 140mph, even in really good conditions.  It has the aerodynamics of a breeze block.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

During a dyno run, needle of my speedo was on 6 o'clock... It's ~300km/h without considering speedo correction.

My 1st 14 did 220 kph. With added small screen 225. On my 2nd I did 225 kph (no screen). May have done more but my jacket was flattering so badly and my jet helmet feeling like blowing off that I broke off the attempt.

Been hunting corners in the Eifel 4 days this week. Loads of fun trying to raze these Metzeler (Z8) elephants.

My slightly tweaked K2 will display 163mph (estimated by me as that's slightly off the clock) when asked any time I want it to. It might have got the needle to the bottom right corner of the odometer twice with a slight tailwind too.

Whatever they do, it's plenty in an open face with sunglasses on. Judging by my speedo seeming to over read by about 8% that's a true 140-145mph, which feels about right.

The clock was showing over 260, but the GPS showed 242 km/h.. Engine was pulling hard but it was enough (=too much) for me.

NELLY did 136 mph, through a trap at liverpool airport, wasnt safe at that speed but she did it twice,

My goodness.
I thought I was going to blown off the back at 120 KPH with my small screen.
Guess I'm getting too old for all this stuff, I'll just keep to 90 KPH and take in the sights.

Starion VR4

I have had mine at 237Kph clocked by my GPS, but have 17/35T rear sprocked, engine goes to 5600RPM & won't pull past that.

Batkwaka

I have had 220kph on the clock but with no screen it quickly gets to be a chore.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

If I want to go a wee bit faster and shift less gears I just jump on the FJR.
