Bandit 1200

As a few of you may know I bought a bandit 1200 a few months ago - it was minging with a gold engine - well I might have kind off got over enthusiastic over the strip down and as a result its turned into a rebuild - so with out further ado

Frame - stripped and media blasted - etch primed - base coat of piano black - the clear coat was 2K with black candy in it




Engine - stripped and cleaned - piano black and 2K clear coat

Well back from holiday and nowt too do so I painted the panels for the bandit

Nice job that Del (I assume you used a spray gun and not rattle cans to get that sort of finish)

Yeah mate all set up to proper spray - use a UPOL 600ml HVLP gun -- sed to do it as a sideline but canned in to focus on my own bikes

Nice, got one of these waiting for me in the Emerald Isle in 2018 with touring gear. How good are they will be doing Uk and Europe.

I had the last of the air cooled ones (06) GSF S and did 80K all over the USA - great bike!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!
