Is it possible top have too many projects...  I have heaps on the go and none of them is getting done with any great speed...

Honda CX500 build (all in boxes at the moment)
Dual computer system build (4/5 done)
Steampunk computer build - just started
Bought a heap of electronics stuff and Arduino... must learn.
Walls around the house to repair (where old aircon ripped out)
Restoring (or rather salvaging) an old Belgian Shotgun
Restocking a bolt action 22
Need to redo the stock finish on an 8mm Mauser
Installed Linux on a computer.. need to earn all about that
Need to paint roof/bonnet/guards of the Defender
Need to instal console / radios in Defender
Need to fit roof bar/lights to Defender
Need to fit spare wheel carrier (once it's built) to Defender

and probably some more things I've forgotten about....

This whole working 5 days a week thing gets in the way of real stuff !

Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Mike - trust me when I say it gets no easier when you don't have the 5 days a week stuff either! I'm busy as heck these days, still have trouble finding time to do things - how the heck I fitted it all in before I retired I don't know.

And now the wife is telling me to get a hobby  :happy1:
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I know first hand what Dave is saying. I had a few months off work (voluntarily) & had no trouble filling in the day & indeed, I often thought, how the hell did I have time to work as well?
It won't get any 'better', you'll always have heaps of things on the go, working just gives you the money to go do these things. You lucky young thing, you've got heaps of years work left yet!!
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

I thought i had a busy life & i have no set projects ahead off me (nothing big anyway)
Good luck getting through it all, you will get there eventually  :onya:

Of course not!!
Us fellas just HAVE to have stuff to do, & you just wait until you retire, I've been retired for over 6 years now & still there's not enough hours in the day, its also good to have a good diversity as well, if you don't fancy a bit of 'spannering', then stay indoors & mess with some electrics!!
I just designed & made a little gizmo to re-wind one of my old speaker voice-coils, & hey, it worked!!
Last month I re-roofed one of the 35ft workshop roofs, but I did struggle a bit.
I DO have to grow old, I DO NOT have to grow up.

Yep, never enough time to do all even when retired.

Wouldn't mind having a few gun and reloading projects but them laws here are so darn restrictive. It takes a PIA effort to obtain and maintain a gun and reloading licenses as well as a heap of € to obtain and maintain that license. And it get's worse by the minute. Shooting fun is also very limited here. Absolutely ridiculous! Decided it was a no-go for me.

Once you retire you start to wonder how you ever had time to work.

grog

i dont mind most maintenance but house repairs is a total pain. always something.
