3x1

Hey all, been reading and looking at this site for a while. Not usually into forums or social media. I'm one of the idiots that has transformed a perfectly good 2008 14 into a bloody brilliant adventure outfit (sidecar). No problems, I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but I find it great fun and have my solos and dirt bikes for other types of motorcycle play as well.
Over the course of owning my 14 I have learnt a thing or two, quite a lot inspired from this site. Despite being told I couldn't rebuild my Shockies (leaking seals) by dealers etc. other than sending them to the UK at great expense,  I have worked out how to do them,  increased the oil weight and make them work heaps better for my purposes. I reckon they are a pretty good unit and cop hell where I go.
Cheers to all for all the good info I have gleaned over the past couple of years and enjoy whatever it is that floats your boat.  :)

Gidday 3x1, (4x2 here, well a thick plank anyway) Great looking outfit, appears to be built like a brick sh**house!  Rugged & tough! Would be bloody awesome doing camping & traveling in that.

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Yes it is great for travelling and camping etc. It's great because I can travel through the bush without being inside a tin top. When travelling alone it's the tent etc but when with the missus I have to take a bit more luxury....see below. I'm in Western Australia and there is a bunch of us with outfits like this....all old buggers growing old disgustingly!!!!
Ps there's a couple more of my girls below as well.  :clapping:

So that's the wife's luggage requirements sorted then!!!

Welcome 3x1!!!

You mention you rebuilt your shocks - if it is possible, if you could write and post that up sometime and how you got around some of the tricker aspects of the rebuild, that would be appreciated by quite a few I would think  :onya: Thank you
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
