Here's my boat. Had it about 15 years. Caught a lot of fish & crays on this puppy. We've been through a lot together & she has always seen me right when things got rough, that's why she gets whatever she wants / needs.

She's got a 150hp Johnson Ocean Pro. I put a bigger tank in it, 270L.  She LOVES fuel!  V6 2 stroke!  Loves gas!  If it was a car you'd bury it. She uses about 1L / kilometer, think that works out to about 2.8mpg!!
Very reliable & the last of the big 6's before they went to E-Tec, lots of SS in the engine. I do all my own maintenance (as little as there is on a 2 stroke).

Anyway, back to bikes, as it's a bike forum aye!

i know as much about boats as brain surgery but it looks good to me. sure does like petrol. mate had a shark cat, dual hull, said it used stacks of juice but was safest boat, he just kept filling it up.

Aye, aye captain. I thing I see Gilligan, the captain, is that ginger and Mary Ann ....

Would you get much time in it given the storms that hit NZ (especially lately).

I'm actually taking it up to Kaikoura this weekend, it's calm water, light winds & mild temp. Going fishing & going to put the pots in for a crack at some crays too.  No doubt there'll be some quad biking & beers in there too, along with watching the rugby.

Well, the fishing was fairly skinny, but we caught 10 fish (and ate them). I put the pots in & we got 27 crays in 2 pots. Only 1 keeper in there as rest were females in berry (have eggs n not allowed to take them).  Sea was good & flat. Did some quad biking too & sank a few (ok, more than a few) pints at the local. Good weekend.  Couple of pic's attached.

Keep to the limit mate. Have watched the show on TV.  Unbelievable what some want in the freezer.

KiwiCol

We only had 1 keeper Irish & we ate it for lunch!  I stick to the rules with fishing, not worth loosing your boat & gear for a few extra fish.

R.I.P.
Last friday was a sad day. Two of my friends died with my favorite pilot boat.
I can not understand what has happened. That boat is (was) the best boat I know, and it was in great condition.
That boat type is known as very seaworthy model, 15.4 x 5.1 meter deep V-hull, 18 tons and 2 x 500 hp scania diesels.
