3 days won't do NI let alone the republic.

Red Biker

Hi Hooli
It's 300 miles top to bottom North and South combined so in 'theory' could easily be done in a day each way?
Basic plan is:
Day 1 Belfast to Kinsale
Day 2 Kinsale to Dublin

The lad I'm going with goes twice a year so I'm relying on his info 😩
Any advice gratefully received!

Just seen these Dave, looks great I'm hoping to get over on Sept!
Is 3 days enough?

Depends how much of the WAW you want to do Nigel - 3 days won't get you too far in all honesty, but enough for a taster! Main problem is the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare doesn't get in until about 16:30, so you can't travel too far the first afternoon - Duncannon is a good place to stop. From there you can go on to do some of the south western peninsula's, but it will take you a day to get across west to east to get back home. Also teh Ferry back from Rosslare leaves at 08:00 in the morning, so you need to overnight there the evening before.

Happy to chat it through further though if you want to go, as the scenery is out of this world, and I can help with recommending some good overnight places to stay. Email me with your thoughts and we can take it from there :)
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Roads look fantastic, scenery too - exactly what a bike tour should be and with a Cold One at the end of the day to ease things.
I'm so, so into Tours now.  i don't do a great  deal of days out in the UK really on the GSX or GTR - i should, but all my efforts go into sorting my annual tour

I'm already looking at places for 2018 as I'm planning a 5000+mile 2 week trip.

Great shots Barmy..
remember i still owe you that Brekkie!!
